Process:  The images created for this series were made by
first exposing photographic emulsions to high voltage electricity,
and then developing the photos in a darkroom.  They were then
all individually hand-tinted and painted.  The images contain
no digital manipulation or alternations.

The machines were pioneered by Jeff Behary from 1996-2022.
The electrical coils used to generate the arcs, sparks, corona
discharges, and upper atmospheric lightning replications
range from 9" in diameter and 2" tall to 4 feet in diameter
and 11 ft tall.  The power consumption varies from 15W - 10,000W.
The voltage varies from 250kV to 1.5MEV.
(250,000 volts - 1,500,000 volts)
