Secondary placed inside - filled with wax! Top view.  The smaller reduction at the top was part of the mould I used, I am actually going to cut this section off. I use Venetian Red, a very staining color that resembles bakelite as it darkens/dries. Semi-completed coil.  Requires many gloss coats, and finishing of the ball terminal/socket. Primary coil fits over the secondary mould. A few crackles... Close the spark gap and you get thin violet discharges... CLICK HERE FOR A MOVIE! Add another amp of input power and you get some sparks!
